Orange Tree Staffing is seeking a bright and talented Paraprofessional to “Build and Inspire Growth” by providing education-based services to students located in Santa Fe for the 26/27 School Year!

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Location Of Services: Sante Fe, NM
  • Hours Per Week: 35 hours per week
  • Dates of Contract: 2026-2027 school year
  • Additional: Full-time in person EBHA (Educational Behavioral Health Aide) for the upcoming school year. Strong preference for candidates with prior CPI training and experience working within self-contained classrooms. NMPED certification REQUIRED.

  • Evidence of level 3 Educational Assistant Certification with NMPED. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide instructional and behavioral support to individual students or small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher.
  • Assist students in accessing the curriculum by reinforcing lessons, clarifying directions, and adapting materials as needed.
  • Support students with special needs by implementing accommodations and modifications outlined in their IEPs or 504 Plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to ensure consistent application of instructional and behavioral strategies.
  • Monitor student engagement, participation, and progress, sharing observations with the classroom teacher and support team.
  • Assist with classroom organization, preparation of learning materials, and implementation of instructional activities.
  • Support students in developing social, communication, and self-help skills that promote independence and inclusion.
  • Provide one-on-one or small-group supervision to ensure student safety and engagement in various school settings.
  • Maintain accurate records of student support activities, attendance, and required documentation.
  • Participate in training and professional development to strengthen skills in supporting diverse learners.
