REQUIREMENTS
- SLPA State Certification
- Undergraduate Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- SLPA School Setting Experience Preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in conducting screenings to help identify students with speech and language needs.
- Support the implementation of individualized, evidence-based treatment plans designed by the supervising SLP.
- Provide direct therapy services to students under SLP supervision, targeting communication skills that support academic and social success.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to help integrate speech and language strategies into classroom activities.
- Prepare progress notes and share observations with the supervising SLP to inform IEP meetings and ongoing planning.
- Monitor student performance during sessions and provide feedback to the supervising SLP for adjustments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy activities, student responses, and assigned documentation.
- Participate in training and professional development to remain current with best practices in speech and language support.
