REQUIREMENTS
- Special Education Teaching Certification
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ learning needs and determine appropriate supports.
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based instructional plans tailored to each student’s IEP goals.
- Provide direct instruction and interventions to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively integrated into classroom instruction.
- Attend and actively contribute to IEP meetings, providing clear reports and updates on student progress.
- Monitor student performance regularly, adjusting instructional strategies and supports as needed based on ongoing assessments and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including IEPs, lesson plans, progress reports, and assessment records.
- Stay current with best practices, special education law, and instructional strategies through research and ongoing professional development.
