JOB DESCRIPTION
Orange Tree Staffing is seeking a Licensed Certified Social Worker to “Build and Inspire Growth” by providing education-based services to students at Achievement First Bridgeport Middle School. As an LCSW, you will support students’ social-emotional well-being and create a positive and inclusive school environment. The role involves collaborating with students, families, teachers, and other school staff to address a range of social, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide individual and group counseling services to students to address social, emotional, and behavioral concerns.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to identify and support students in need of counseling services.
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ social and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement intervention plans to address identified concerns and promote positive outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to support the overall well-being of students.
- Provide consultation to teachers and parents on effective strategies for addressing social and emotional challenges.
- Respond to crisis situations involving students and provide immediate support and intervention as needed.
- Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure a comprehensive response to crisis situations.
- Advocate for the social and emotional needs of students within the school system.
- Collaborate with community resources and agencies to connect students and families with additional support services.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions.
- Prepare and submit reports as required by school policies and regulations.
REQUIREMENTS

- CT Department of Education in Social Work
- School Social Work certification or endorsement.
- Experience working in a school-based setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
