Clinic Nurse: Provide first aid and nursing services in a school setting. Responsible for maintaining confidentiality and accurate documentation. Respond to emergencies, assess circumstances and conditions, and treat appropriately within school guidelines and protocols.



    • LPN: Completed an accredited LPN program; 1 year of previous nursing experience preferred
    • Certification in Basic Life Support.
    • Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Department of Health LPN license
    • Current continuing education required by the state




Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills; ability to use effective positive interpersonal skills; ability to assist students with managing their chronic health conditions in the school environment; ability to collaborate with school personnel in a positive and proactive way



    • Implement a collaborative coaching and learning approach to create safe school clinics.
    • Charts and maintains accurate records of activities, i.e., medications dispensed, incident reports, nursing notes, daily treatments, and interventions.
    • Monitors materials and medications to ensure appropriate supply levels.
    • Ensures the safe and sanitary conditions of the school clinic.
    • Collaborates with teaching staff for the health and safety of all students.
    • Maintains contact with teachers, parents, and administrators
    • Support school clinics and medically fragile students as needed.
    • Assist in updating district medical documents.
    • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
