JOB DESCRIPTION
Orange Tree Staffing is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) to “Build and Inspire Growth” by providing education-based services to students at Harmony Science Academy – Lubbock. As an LPC, you will provide services to students in need of counseling in the general education population:
JOB DESCRIPTION
Providing one-on-one counseling sessions to students dealing with various mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, family problems, or academic stress.
Conducting group therapy sessions to address common concerns among students, such as peer pressure, bullying, or social skills development.
Assessing students’ mental health needs through interviews, observations, and assessments. Developing individualized treatment plans based on the assessments.
Providing immediate support and counseling to students in crisis situations, such as suicidal thoughts, self-harm, or trauma.
Working closely with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to identify students who may need mental health support and coordinating interventions.
Communicating with parents or guardians about their child’s progress, mental health concerns, and involving them in the counseling process when appropriate.
Referring students to external mental health services or specialists if their needs exceed the scope of school counseling services.
Implementing programs to prevent mental health issues, such as anti-bullying campaigns, stress management workshops, or substance abuse prevention initiatives.
Conducting workshops and seminars for students, parents, and teachers to raise awareness about mental health issues and provide strategies for coping and support.
Maintaining accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions, assessments, and interventions as required by school policies and regulations.
LICENSE & CERTIFICATIONS
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Certification required.
