Orange Tree Staffing is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to “Build and Inspire Growth” by providing education-based services to students at School District of Palm Beach County. As a COTA in a school setting, you will work collaboratively with licensed occupational therapists to support the development and enhancement of students’ functional abilities. This role involves implementing therapeutic interventions, conducting assessments, and collaborating with educators and parents to promote the overall well-being and success of students.



    • Deliver individual and group occupational therapy interventions based on students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and therapeutic goals.
    • Conduct ongoing assessments to identify students’ strengths and challenges related to occupational performance.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student progress, intervention plans, and communication with relevant stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, and other school staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into the academic environment.
    • Communicate effectively with parents, providing feedback on student progress and recommendations for carry-over activities at home.
    • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings to contribute valuable insights and updates on students’ occupational therapy needs.
    • Assist in the development and revision of IEP goals and objectives related to occupational therapy.
    • Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in pediatric occupational therapy.
    • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.


    • Completion of an accredited Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) program.
    • Current state licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
